Encryption
Is my data encrypted when it's sent?
Yes. Everything between the VoiceWork apps, our servers and our providers travels over encrypted HTTPS (TLS) connections.
Is my data encrypted when it's stored?
Yes. Your notes, transcripts and summaries are stored in a database that is encrypted at rest with AES-256. Our backups are encrypted too.
Is VoiceWork end-to-end encrypted?
No, and we prefer to say so clearly. To turn your recording into text, a summary and answers, our servers and AI providers have to process its content. True end-to-end encryption would make that impossible. Instead, we keep your data encrypted in transit and at rest, delete the audio as soon as processing is done, and only use AI providers that don't keep your data.
AI and your data
Are my notes used to train AI models?
No. We never use your recordings or notes to train AI models, and the AI endpoints we use through OpenRouter are set to never train on your data.
Do AI providers keep my notes?
Text requests and transcription through OpenRouter only go to AI endpoints with zero data retention: they process your request, return the result and keep nothing. The full list of providers is in our Privacy Policy.
What happens to my audio?
A recording is sent to our servers only to create the transcript. It is deleted from our servers as soon as processing finishes, and a cleanup job removes any audio file older than 2 hours. The original recording stays on your device.
Access
Who can see my notes?
Only you, in the apps where you are signed in. Every request to our servers is checked against your account, and each account can only reach its own notes.
What about connected AI apps and share links?
Nothing is connected until you approve it in the VoiceWork app. A connected AI app can only read your notes by default, never your audio, and you can disconnect it at any time. A share link shows only the note you chose, and you can turn it off whenever you like.
How is my account protected?
You sign in with Apple, Google or email. Signing in on the web or connecting an AI app needs a one-time code that you approve in the app, and the code expires after 10 minutes.
Your control
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete any note in the app, or delete your account. Deleting your account removes your notes, folders, chat messages, to-dos and templates from our systems.
